The Wrong Carpet

Today we were suppose to get the carpet installed on the steps upstairs, but they brought the wrong carpet. They claimed it was the carpet we ordered, but Ginger says it's thinner than what she ordered and that it's brown, and she hates brown (she later clarified that there was some shade of brown she did like, but that the carpet color wasn't that shade). So it'll be a couple more weeks now before we get the carpet on the steps replaced since they have to order the carpet from the manufacturer.

Nana's up visiting. She came up last night. Evidently she brought the kids some new toys (because it just wouldn't be a visit from a grandparent unless new toys were somehow involved). I haven't seen the items themselves yet, but I've seen them in pictures Ginger took. Looks like they got badmitten racquets and some sort of soft frisbee.

Since Nana was up, tonight Ginger and I went out to eat and let Nana watch the kids. While we were out we stopped by Best Buy and looked at some of the HD TVs. A couple days ago, Ginger actually determined that our current TV isn't as bad off as we thought (someone had changed the display configuration, I'm guessing a little munchkin playing with the remote), so we don't need a new TV as bad as we thought at the present time, we are still looking at the June time frame for getting a new one though. Tonight we were looking to see if we could decide between a plasma and a projection. I have this horrible feeling no matter what we choose, I'm going to think it was the wrong choice. But I always do that with big ticket items. As I was watching a few of the models, you could really see massive pixelation in some scenes on some of the models. We pretty much excluded those models on the spot.

John and Jeff purchases an LCD HD Flatpanel TV. As Jeff works for CNet, he did a lot of research first. You may want to chat with them. He told me why, in his opinion, LCD is better than plasma.

We had the same thing happen on the carpet, except that my wife didn't catch it until it was completely installed.

If you don't want to wait until June for the TV, I can come over and mess up the configuration again.
