The Colbert Report

Are you watching The Colbert Report? If not, you really should check it out. It's on Comedy Central Monday through Thursdays at 11:30 PM (and then repeated who knows how often over the course of the next 24 hours after it airs). He's had some fantastic interviews with Representatives in the past couple of weeks. Ginger doesn't like the show at all, and she laughed several times at the interview with Eleanor Holmes Norton, the representative from the District of Columbia (make with the clicky before YouTube has to remove it due to copyright issues). It's probably one his best interviews. Some of the stuff in the lead up piece won't make sense if you don't watch the show regularly (Stephen hates bears and considers them Godless Killing Machines). But it starts to get really good when the interview actually starts at two minutes into the stream.

If that interview above isn't enough to convince you this show is something to watch, then check out this interview with Representative Robert Wexler from Florida who is apparently running unopposed in the upcoming election. And then there's the follow up to that interview where he blasts the morning news shows.

In the interest of presenting all sides, if you want to see the official sites for the aforementioned representatives, Eleanor Holmes Norton and Robert Wexler both have a presence on the web.

It was a very good interview. It was fun to see her mix it up a little with him. All the other congresspeople seem to try to take him too seriously and are caught like deer in the headlights. She seemed like a pretty smart cookie. She definitely should be the only one with voting rights in the House.
