Kids can be sneaky. At the same time, they aren't that great at keeping their secret plans secret, you just have to be able to crack the code they use. Take this morning. Quinn announced that he loves pockets in his pants. Seemed odd at the time, but then later we found out that him and his friend PJ had come up with a cunning plan to smuggle Lego Star Wars action figures to school (in this case, General Grievious and R2-D2). The way they accomplished this was by hiding the toys in their pockets. Evidently this was such an ingenious plan Quinn couldn't help but announce how much he liked having pockets. Sadly Ginger didn't pick up on why he said that (she was too busy getting them ready to go and fixing Quinn's lunch), but it didn't take long for the kids to get busted at school and subsequently have the toys taken away, so as good as the plan was it was mostly for naught.
In other news we had another couple storms roll through last night, but none were anywhere near as impressive as the one from the afternoon. I did get a couple of pictures outside between downpours.

ethan is our smuggler. he's collecting 'crazybones gogos' at the moment and you have to search him before leaving the house to make sure he's not sneaking any out to school. little monkeys.
