Quinn celebrated his birthday at school today and Ginger was there with the camera to capture it. He made snicker doodles for the kids in his class with the help of his friend Perry.
After school Ginger took him by a local toy store that sent him a birthday coupon for some percentage off one item. He ended up picking out a Spider-Man pinball game. I think Catherine may like that more than he does.
And finally after dinner we used the leftover birthday cake from yesterday and had Quinn do the whole candle thing again. He actually was able to blow them all out this time (although it did take two tries since the first time they all went out but then spontaneously combusted again).
Quinn got a fair number of present today. This morning we gave him his new trampoline. Catherine already knew about this and had been using it over the weekend while Quinn was in Richmond, but Ginger wouldn't let me put a picture of her using it then up for fear of spoiling the surprise for Quinn. So here's a picture from then of Catherine using it and catching some major air. There were two gifts that he got tonight that really stood out as 'winners' in my mind. One was a penguin slide. These things have been around forever, where penguins slide down a course to the bottom then 'stairs' move them up to the top where the whole process starts over again. Both kids liked that. The other stand out gift were inflatable boxing gloves and a punching 'bopping buddy' (which really isn't as dirty as it sounds). And he also got a trampoline
