So apologies to John. He was in town this week for work and stopped by last night to spend some 'special' time. It was a fun evening, but the details of it got bumped from the blogging schedule yesterday, so I promised I would mention it tonight instead. He even said I could put up any picture of him I wanted (which almost made me go searching through my archive for embarrassing college pictures, but I decided that would require too much work on my part). Anyway, it's hard to get good portrait shots when people are sitting in our bright flower patterned chairs. Translation: it's my fault the photo looks bad because we own the crazy flower print chair and sofa, there's nothing at all wrong with the subject. Although given how the kids have been bouncing on the chair and sofa lately, I don't think they're going to last too much longer. And you see, that's where I would be torn, because then we could get something new, but that would cost money. It's an impossible choice. Plus, it' not like whatever we get would necessarily be something I'll like, I tend to lose out on the decisions about what furniture to buy. But I should add that's only because I never feel like it's worth arguing about, not because I don't think Ginger would take my opinion into account. *
And I've been negligent for the past couple of days responding to comments. So I thought I would go ahead and take the opportunity to do it now. To everyone that liked the balloon pictures, thank you. All I can say is even a blind squirrel finds a nut every so often. I still think the balloons paled in comparison to John's Easter egg picture though. And a sincere thanks to everyone that made a comment yesterday in regards to Aunt Hazel. I really appreciated it. Sorry to drop that on everyone, but to be honest, I think writing it down and putting my thoughts about the situation into words was actually therapeutic for me.
* What do the judges say, did I manage to dig myself out of that one?

Well that looks like an About the Author picture from a book jacket if I have ever seen one....the sofa fits the genre
looks like John will have to write a book now...what will be the title?
"The Road to Hell is Paved with Long Island Ice Teas"
"Engineers are real people with FEELINGS to"
"Flight from suburbia: tales of the big escape"
"Bullbunky curmudgeon or evangelist?: 10 steps to leading a more spiritual life"
* Did you dig yourself out?
What, are you insane? No, you most certainly did not.
Buddy, you most certainly should write my dust-jacket :)
