So today was yet another birthday party at Pump It Up. This is like the current 'in' place for birthday parties I think. Although I can tell Quinn has started getting a little bored with the place (more on that later).
This party was probably maxed out as far as the number of kids that can attend this place goes. The reason was it was a double party for Darby (who I *think* was turning four or five) and her younger brother Rory (who I know was turning 3). This meant there were almost double the number of kids that are usually at one of these events. And a lot of them were little tykes.
While this might not seem like a big deal, in the first arena there are only 3 "rides". And one of those is restricted by age, so the other two things were packed. And this was the first time I had been there were they were being really strict about the rules (which maybe they were doing because there were so many younger kids). In fact, Quinn got 'busted' a couple times. Usually for entering an obstacle course without waiting long enough after the person in front of him went (although you can see him above climbing between both ladders to make it more challenging, but I don't think the attendants saw him doing that). So that slowed down stuff even more.
Since this was Quinn's fourth birthday party he's attended at Pump It Up, he's starting to be a bit bored with the place (which is just perfect too, since a couple of months ago he insisted he wanted to have his birthday party there and it's already been scheduled). In the second arena he spent about fifteen minutes not even playing on any of the rides, but rather pushing himself around in this Fred Flintstone style car. That thing was probably made for kids that are 2 or 3 (at most), and here he his pushing himself around in it. I couldn't for the life of me understand what his fascination with the car was, until about five minutes later...
I guess having a car does help you pick up chicks.
Once Quinn and I got home we found Ginger and Catherine out back on the deck. Catherine was having tons of fun making bubbles.
