I had wanted to use a version of Carol of the Bells with vocals as the background music for this, but since I was never able to find the long vocal version I went with this. I briefly toyed with the idea of using music from peanuts, and that version of the video is here. But Ginger didn't like that music, so I went back to the instrumental Carol of the Bells and that's what we have above.
Our heat pump is acting up again. For being pretty new, we've had a lot of problems with that thing. Apparently now it's electrical box is running hot and overheating the fuses, which ends up having it stop running, which makes it really really cold upstairs. So we got replacement fuses put in that we hope will hold us until next week when they can come out and replace the box that's running hot. It figures it would wait until we actually have a cold spell coming through before it actually decided to break.

My observations:
1. There is a long block in the middle where James appears to be AWOL.
2. I got a little worried when James started stripping that this was going to be a different type of tree decorating party.
3. I think the instrumental music works fine.

Umm, I had to go get my camera. Yea, that's the ticket. It's not that the computer is in the room right next door. Nope. Can't be that.

I was getting hot from having to lift up Catherine all the time.
Cute video. So I noticed that your tree swivels... must be fake. you should get a little servo so it will swivel all the time. Yeah, that would be cool. Especially if you get the rpms up enough to pull some G's with the ornaments. Wouldn't it be cool to see a frosted angel go winging across the room??
BTW - I agree with Ginger... I like the Peanuts music fine, but the Carol of the Bells works best with the sped up video.

This one is. We usually do two trees each year and the one for the kids is the fake one whereas the big family one is real. We wait for a while to purchase the real one until the place up the street starts dropping the prices a bit since tree prices are ridiculous. And this has the added benefit of spreading out the fun of decorating.
I really liked the video....very Americano Christmas!
Good video. Nice cameos at the end.
fantastic video.
who keeps bobbing into shot in the pink? the music is glorious and i'm glad to see the return of the brick.
excellent video, but who keeps bobbing into shot in the pink? the music is glorious and it's nice to see the return of the brick!
sorry!
it kept telling me it hadn't published!
pain in the *%$*!
Heh, that person in pink would be my Mom, or Nana as the kids refer to her.
And I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of deleting some of the duplicate posts.
Although the fact that it's giving you problems has just convinced me to hold off until later on switching over to the new Blogger 2.0 (I was just about to enter my password and start the switching process too).
