First Snow

It's always nice to get that first snow of the season out the way. It started late enough that school's weren't late or closed. That didn't stop traffic from being a complete nightmare this morning. It started really coming down around midday and continued on and off throughout the day until finally tapering off in the night (as of midnight it had seemed to stop completely).

Right now there aren't even any late opening for school tomorrow, which surprises me a bit since I would think there's going to be some ice on the roads in the morning. But maybe since it's more or less stopped snowing now they'll be able to clear all the roads before morning. Or maybe they just like waiting until the last minute to make those kinds of decisions. Who knows.

Looks like the kids played outside some this afternoon, but I wasn't around when they were out enjoying the snow. Luckily Ginger snapped a couple of pictures, but apparently Catherine was the only one that was willing to stand still long enough for her to get a photo. It's always a pleasant surprise to come home and check the camera and see new pictures of the kids on there.

I really liked the effect of the snow covered lights, but I don't think either picture truly captures the effect.

Ah, beautiful snow. I do miss that :( Nicely captured serenity.

I like the photos of the lights under the snow. It snowed here in the middle of the day, but didn't stick.
