Amanda's Birthday Party

The kids attended a birthday party for Amanda today. The party was at Lifetime Fitness. Seemed like an odd place to hold a birthday party, but they sectioned off half a basketball court for the kids and had them playing tag, some parachute games and then using some roller board things. The kids seem to enjoy it a lot. After that it was time for food and cake.

After the party we had to head home since we were having Ginger's cousin Susan and Ben over for dinner and some Wii action. The kids commandeered them initially forcing them to play Mario Party with them for a while. I can't recall the last time I've seen Quinn get so excited about playing the Wii (he literally couldn't stay seated and was bouncing up and down and screaming instructions at times). Neither Catherine nor Quinn were really handling losing well. Ben seemed to take to the games like a natural even beating a couple of my Mario Party mini game records (he claims he's never played before, so I guess he's just a video game prodigy). Susan didn't do as well as Ben, but turned in a more than respectable performance. I am happy to report though that no new dents were put into the ceiling even though we ended up playing four person tennis after the kids had gone to bed.
