TiVo Woes

So I just installed TivoToGo on the new laptop. Since we're preparing for vacation my plan is to copy all the old Daily Show and Colbert Reports I'm behind on to the computer and catch up while I'm at the beach. Last time I used TiVo to go was well over a year or more ago. However, it seems completely worthless now since just about every single recording on the TiVo is flagged as being copy right protected and therefore not allowed to be transferred off the TiVo. So really what's the point of TiVoToGo at this point? I can see not wanting me to burn a DVD of the material, but it's not even letting me move it to a computer. Has anyone used TivoToGo recently and actually found it useful?
