No fireworks celebrations for us this year, we were limited to some sparklers that the kids set off last night. It took a while for them not to be afraid of them, but eventually they warmed up to them (no pun intended).
Next year maybe we'll try and make it out to see a local fireworks display or something. After all the years of almost losing body parts from where my Uncle Frank would set off fireworks I don't have a lot of inclination to go out and buy a pack of them (although the ones you can buy in Virginia are much safer than the ones we used to set off back in the day).
