So Ginger and kids decided to stay in Richmond for another day and come home on Monday. Since they didn't come home Sunday that means that whole thing about me not having any free time sort of went out of the window. At this point I'm bored out of my mind. What in the world did I use to do before getting married and having kids? Anyway, here's the latest Brick adventure. I screwed up in a couple places, but I didn't feel like going back and fixing it. These things still take way more time that I would think to put together (not even counting the time it takes to film it). Sadly I still wait until too late to start working on these things.

Brick Olympics

James. I never sit through entire videos. Ever. Until this one. Hysterically funny. I think my favorite would have to be basketball... or perhaps swimming... no... basketball. Classic slapstick comedy with a brick :)
Awesome....
Bricktastic!
Brilliant as ever.
I personally liked the discus, that was funny. Clever. Nice.
But the signature moment was the inclusion of the Wilhelm Scream during the Javelin. That was CLASSIC!!!
Seriously, how long does it take you to do all that work?

Heh. I was wondering if anyone other than Ginger would catch that Noodle was doing the Wilhelm scream.
All told this one took about six hours. It's not quite as bad as it sounds though. It was probably a little more than an hour filming everything.
Importing all the video onto the computer took a while since it records in real time. Plus I have to play the "what can I delete to make more space" game since my desktop only has a couple Gig free. And creating uncompressed video and reversing it takes some CPU time. But during some of these times I can multitask and go watch some TV while the computer does stuff.
More than one hour was spent looking for music though.
Once everything was on the computer, the editing and mixing probably took a couple hours. Then the computer takes it's sweet time converting the 4 Gig of video data into a five minute video (probably about 15 minutes or so for that), and then it takes about 30 minutes to upload it and have it become available, then once it's online you realize you spelled a word wrong and redo that whole process of recreating and uploading again, so that adds lots of time.
I'm sure there are people out there capable of putting this stuff together much faster than me, but yea, it's a time consuming process. That's why I typically only do these when Ginger and the kids are gone.
