Starting Spanish Class
Today was Catherine's first day of Spanish classes. She's enrolled in one of the summer classes that meets for an hour on Tuesday and Thursday. When I got home tonight the only thing she could say in Spanish was her name since she had already forgotten how to say hello and goodbye. I was sort of expecting her to ask where the bathroom or the library was since those are common questions people get taught when learning a foreign language. The bathroom one I can understand, but if you don't know the language well enough to ask for directions then how is a building full of books written in said foreign language going to work?
