Once we did get home we had the kids 'help' put up our paltry outdoor Christmas decorations, which consists of some lights and an inflatable snowman. The blow up snowman required some creativity to erect since some of the connectors had bent out of shape or flat out broken off (ok, ok, they broke off when I was trying to bend them back into shape). I McGuyver'ed it by using pieces of a coat hanger in lieu of the missing connectors and it seems to be working for now. I may have to revisit that once our first strong wind comes through.
