Got invited to meet up with some friends at Burke Lake. We didn't stay there long. We did the train ride (which by the time we got there the line was so long it took a couple times for the ride to run before we were able to get on). After the train ride we went over and met up with everyone over at the playground. The kids played for a while on the playground, but it wasn't too long before all the kids had their fill of the that and were ready to move on. So we packed up and headed back to our place. Everyone else went home and let their kids nap and then came over to our place. Unfortunately there was a flaw in this plan, this meant our kids didn't nap. But to be honest, they did pretty good for not having a nap.
The basement was a big hit with the other kids. Not surprising considering how much crap we have down there. More toys and what not than anyone should be allowed to possess. With this many people there was no way we were cooking, so for dinner we ended up having pizza for everyone.
A quick update on Quinn and his try new things program. We let him slide on the whole 'eat something new' thing on Saturday since we had company over. But he did try some spaghetti last night. It was even what I would call a really small bite (as opposed to the minuscule portions of other things he had tried). And this morning after way too long we got him to take a bite of cinnamon roll oatmeal. Now I've tried the oatmeal, it's really sweet, but you would have never been able to tell that from his reaction. But good reaction or not, that made a total of seven new things that he's tried, so he got his marble game. He lost no time in setting it up once we got back from the park, and Catherine graciously volunteered to help him with it.

The image of Ginger and Quinn makes a really nice composition. ...the bond of Mother and Son...but they are looking off in different directions.
